This is a very simple milkshake recipe that tastes great, I think it’s freezing the bananas that really makes a difference. I’ve been having these in the morning rather than coffee, because it’s been warm here and sometimes it’s preferable to start your day with something cold.
- One banana, peeled, sliced and frozen for at least a couple of hours (I prefer to use very ripe bananas as they are sweeter)
- 150g/5oz Strawberries, roughly chopped
- One teaspoon of maple syrup, or to taste (optional)
- 300ml/10fl.oz non-dairy milk (less if you want a thicker milkshake)
Combine all the ingredients and blend for a couple of minutes until everything is smooth. I garnished mine with a strawberry before serving.
